On May 20, 2021 it was announced to the Faculty and Staff of St. Ursula Academy that the school was selected by the Leadership Program for Girls as the first National Girls’ Leadership School in the Country. This is due to the school’s innovative work in leadership development and its rigorous standards in academics.

To quote from the letter the Ursuline Sisters received: “For the past 167 years, your legacy and the legacy of St. Angela Merici have flourished in our halls. The Ursuline Sisters taught generations of young women to learn and lead and to make a difference in this world. This legacy continues in 2021k where learning and leading are more crucial than ever. It is in that Ursuline spirit ithat we have exciting and important news to share with you.”
