The Ursuline Center was built in 1985 as a retirement center and infirmary for the Ursuline Sisters. Today, the Ursuline Center is a 36-bed, Medicaid (2002) and Medicare (2004) licensed nursing home facility for religious Sisters and Priests only.
The Ursuline Center is proud to have had citation-free State surveys in 2004 and 2005. Excellent surveys continue and quality care of the residents is a top priority along with providing a home-like environment based on the spirituality of St. Angela Merici, the foundress of the Ursuline Sisters.
Sisters and priests enjoy the care of a dedicated staff who nourish body, mind and spirit through daily physical, social, spiritual and fun activities.

"Nun Run a Major Success"
When Julie Bermudez, activity director for the Ursuline Center, envisioned the "Nun Run," she never imagined that it would become a major success gathering over 150 Sisters and friends together from the Ursuline Sisters, Notre Dame Sisters and the Sylvania Franciscans.
Sisters who competed in the "Run" enjoyed the camaraderie in a spirited competition. The "Run" was followed by a luncheon and arts and crafts sale in the Ursuline Center. All who participated are looking forward to Year Two of the Run.
