Associate Directors Gather in Toledo
The Ursuline Society Associate Directors met in Toledo July 21 -31. Altogether, there were 9 visitors representing Brown County, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Maple Mount, Paola, and Youngstown. Several of Toledo's Board Members participated. While Toledo hosted, Paola chaired.
The purpose of the group, which began meeting some 5 years ago, is to share ideas regarding structure, formation and ministry. Thanks to the gathering that took place two years ago, Toledo Associates now have an indentifying pin. As a result of this gathering, several other groups took home with them from Toledo the basic beginnings of the Prayer Shawl Ministry.
A picnic to which all Toledo Associates were invited was held on Tuesday evening. More sharing took place and several stayed awhile to pray and play together.
Just as gathering of Ursuline Sisters bring new energy to those who attend, so too, the Associates find support and renewal for continuing their own journey in living out their call to live Angela's charism.
Next year's gathering will be hosted by Cleveland. |
