Ursuline Sisters Welcome New Associate

Posted 12/28/2017

As the Ursuline Community celebrated their Foundation Day of December 12, 1854, on Sunday, December 10, Mrs. Janet Klocinski was welcomed in to the Associate Experience with the Sisters.

Janet Klocinski, mentored by Sister Joy Gray, made her commitment to the assembly gathered at the Foundation Day liturgy.

Janet is married to Ronald (Mickey) Klocinski and they have two daughters and two granddaughters.  She was taught by the Ursuline Sisters throughout most of her school years, first at St. Thomas Aquinas grade school, followed by St. Ursula Academy and then the former Mary Manse College as part of her St. Vincent School of Nursing education.  It was at the end of her nursing career when she took a position in the nursing department at the Ursuline Center, that a deeper appreciation for the Ursuline Sisters and their life-long dedication of service to others grew and became inspirational.  Sister Joy Gray mentored Janet over the last six months.  Becoming an Associate seemed a natural extension of this long connection and genuine admiration.
