Ursuline Sisters Meet to Plan the Future

Posted 2/28/2018

The Ursuline Sisters will be meeting March 1 – 4 to share and discuss their priorities and concerns for the next four years 2018- 2022.

This event occurs every four years and is called the Chapter of Affairs. The agenda for these days will cover end-of-term reports, financial reports, liturgy, times of prayer and looking at issues of concern as they move into their future with hope.
The theme of their days together is “One Mind, One Heart, One Will.” St. Angela Merici, foundress of the Company of St. Ursula, known better here as the Ursuline Sisters, used these words often in her writings.
The last day and a half will focus on nomination and election processes for the leadership team for 2018- 2022. The Chapter of Affairs and Elections will be facilitated by Sister Ellen Doyle, an Ursuline of Brown County, who has extensive background in facilitating and leading groups to decision-making as well as discernment for leadership.
April 7 will be a day of discernment for leadership and elections will take place on April 14. Please keep the Ursuline Community in prayer as they meet and pray with one another, asking the Holy Spirit and the spirit of St. Angela to be with them.
